SKATEBIRD Has Been Posponed to 2021 to Add a Story Mode

SkateBIRD is an upcoming indie game for the Nintendo Switch that will let you go around on a skateboard as a bird. What more could you want from life? Well, the game was originally planned to release later in 2020, but unfortunately, the game is being delayed because of a lot of things going on. You can read the whole update on the Kickstarter page, but this delay does bring a positive with it. The development team is going to be adding a Story Mode for players to enjoy.

[W]e're gonna go for a story mode! Like an ACTUAL story mode, not the findable tapes side-story we'd originally planned.

That’s pretty awesome. Honestly, I think it’s pretty smart to have delayed the release of SkateBIRD anyway after the announcement of Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 and 2 coming out later in 2020. This will help give a bit more space between the releases and therefore have a bit more breathing room. I’m not gonna lie, I really want to play both of these games.
