Skateboarding Drama HARDFLIP Is Coming to Short-Form Streaming Platform Quibi

Quibi, the new quick bite streaming service, is releasing today, unfurling their long list of short-form series for viewers to enjoy. There are dramas, thrillers, documentaries, reality, comedy, and anything else you could think of. One more series has been added to the list, and that is the skateboarding drama Hardflip. The series comes from Snowfall creator Eric Amadio, who teamed with musicians The Chainsmokers and professional skateboarder Nyjah Huston.

Here’s the synopsis provided by Deadline:

Set in present day East Los Angeles in the high stake’s world of competitive skateboarding, Hardflip is follows a wildly successful sixteen-year-old skater and his immediate group of friends as he navigates the unfiltered reality of fame and fortune.

This sounds like a cool series to add to the streamer. I was skeptical of how well the platform would do with such an unprecedented style, but I have to admit the lineups look great, and the short form “bites” sound intriguing.
