Skybound Entertainment, AMEET, and LEGO Team Up for the First Ever LEGO Comic Books Coming in 2022
LEGO is a big franchise. It’s had movies, TV shows, competition shows, amusement parks, and of course the iconic toys. Now, they’re making their venture into the world of comic books (apparently Bionicles didn’t count) with the help of Skybound Entertainment and children’s book publisher AMEET.
The three companies are coming together to bring about the debut of the first LEGO comic book title in 2022. This is definitely a bit of a surprise as Skybound is known for their more adult-oriented titles like The Walking Dead, Invincible, and Ultramega, but I guess that’s why they brought AMEET onboard. Talking about the venture, Sean Mackiewicz of Skybound said:
As a lifelong fan of LEGO toys and content, nothing brings me greater joy than partnering with AMEET on this iconic brand. Each title will be a portal to the endless worlds accessible in every LEGO play session, created to inspire the LEGO builders, readers, and thinkers of tomorrow.
