An amusingly unhinged crossover fan mashup from eli_handle_b․wav drops the cheerful chaos of Smiling Friends straight into the oppressive nightmare of Silent Hill 2, and the contrast is pretty damn funny.

The video features the Cartoon Network oddballs attempting their usual “make someone smile” routine, only this time they are in the lost, traumatized world of Silent Hill, where there is absolutley no room for positivity or personal growth.

Watching the bright, awkward energy of Smiling Friends bounce off the suffocating fog and psychological dread of Silent Hill 2 creates a warped tone clash that leans into discomfort without losing the joke of the crossover.

The humor of Smiling Friends can crawl out of the darkness and make the whole situation weirdly funny.
