Snag a Wonderful E.T. Print Signed by Legendary Artist Drew Struzan
Drew Struzan is the greatest movie poster artist of all time, full stop. (Read my review of his book here if you haven't already.) Some would argue that Steven Spielberg's 1982 movie E.T. belongs on the list of the greatest movies of all time. The combination of the two is, predictably, pretty damn magical.
/Film tells us that our friends at Bottleneck Gallery are dropping a new E.T. screen print during a 35th anniversary screening of the film in New York this weekend, and the prints are signed by Struzan himself. Here's the official breakdown:
We’re extra excited to share all of the details of our 35th Anniversary E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial screening and Drew Struzan’s sublime E.T. print that we’ll be premiering at the event, where we’re teaming up with our fine friends over at Vice Press, The Roxy Hotel Theatre, and Universal Studios! E.T. is an absolute gem of a film, featuring one of the most heartwarming and whimsical stories about a lost alien trying to find his way home, and the brave humans who help him on his journey. Drew’s official print for this movie is an absolutely stunning 19-color screen print that captures the real heart of the movie with a brilliant, timeless image.
The screening, which is scheduled to take place at 8:00pm on Friday, July 14, 2017 at The Roxy Hotel Theatre (2 Avenue of the Americas in New York, NY) is already sold out, but here's the good news: the prints will be sold on a first come, first served basis from 6:00-8:00pm, and anyone can stand in line to get one — even those of you who don't have tickets to the screening.
If by some miracle there are any prints left after Friday night, the remaining pieces will go up on the Bottleneck Gallery and Vice Press websites on Tuesday, July 18, 2017 at 12:00pm EST, so be sure to keep an eye on those sites if you're looking to snag one of these for yourself and you're not in the NY area.
