During today’s Hasbro Pulse Fan Fest, a new line of G.I. Joe action figures were revealed for the upcoming film Snake Eyes: G.I. JOE Origins! These figures give us our first look at the character designs for Henry Golding’s Snake Eyes, Samara Weaving’s Scarlett, Ursula Corbero‘s The Baroness, Andrew Koji‘s Storm Shadow and Haruka Abe’s Akiko. The figures are all part of the G.I. Joe: Classified line of action figures.

I personally like the character designs, and I can’t wait to see what the live-action versions of them look like! When talking about the film with EW, Golding said:

“I think the heart of the story really is who Snake is and his journey as a person, really. Understanding his motivations. I can’t give away too much, but it really focuses on the one person instead of having 20 people on screen and understanding background. We start from the beginning. And, hopefully, this launches an amazing franchise.”

In the film, Snake Eyes is on the hunt for the man who murdered his father, travels to Japan and trains with the ancient Arashikage ninja clan. The Arashikage worked as shadowy assassins for generations, using deception to earn their keep as ninjas, as well as developing a reputation for being able to perform impossible tasks.

Robert Schwentke is directing the film from a screenplay written by Evan Spiliotopoulos. The cast of the film also includes Iko Uwais, who is playing Hard Master, “Snake Eyes’ tough as nails teacher who is also a skilled swordmaster.” Then there’s The Expanse actor Steven Allerick, who will take on the role of the father of the iconic G.I. Joe ninja commando.

The film is set to hit theaters on July 23rd.

If you want to purchase any of these, you can find them here along with a lot of other Hasbro figures that were recently released.
