SNL Reveals First Look at Jim Carrey as Joe Biden and Maya Rudolph as Kamala Harris
Saturday Night Live gave us our first look at Jim Carrey as Joe Biden and Maya Rudolph as Kamala Harris. With the Presidential election coming up and the presidential debates, there’s going to be plenty of material to pull from and make fun of for some good laughs.
The video below shows Carrey and Rudolph getting into their costumes and makeup as Biden and his running mate, Harris. It going to be really interesting to see how they are going to play these characters. Biden was previously portrayed by Jason Sudeikis and Woody Harrelson in earlier episodes of the series.
When talking about casting Carrey as Biden, executive producer Lorne Michaels said:
“There was some interest on his part. And then we responded, obviously, positively. But it came down to discussions about what the take was. He and Colin Jost had a bunch of talks. He and I as well. He will give the part energy and strength, and … [Laughs.] Hopefully it’s funny."
Well, we’ll find out this weekend! SNL will return to NBC on October 3rd with host Chris Rock.
