Snoopy and the Gang Hit the High Notes in Fun Trailer for SNOOPY PRESENTS: A SUMMER MUSICAL

If you're looking for some wholesome summer vibes wrapped in nostalgia and music, Apple TV+ has you covered. They’ve dropped a delightful trailer for their upcoming original special, Snoopy Presents: A Summer Musical, and it looks like a charming blend of campfire fun, emotional stakes, and toe-tapping tunes.

This fresh addition to the Snoopy Presents lineup follows Charlie Brown, Sally, Snoopy, and the rest of the Peanuts gang as they head to summer camp. Charlie is determined to make his last year at camp count, while Sally, who's a first-time camper, isn't exactly thrilled about the unfamiliar setting. Things really kick off when Snoopy and Woodstock stumble upon a treasure map that sends them on an unexpected adventure.

But it’s not all marshmallows and campfire songs. The gang learns that their beloved camp is shutting down due to dwindling attendance. This news hits Charlie Brown hard. He’s heartbroken at the thought of losing a place packed with so many good memories and sets out to do something about it.

“One morning, the Peanuts gang learns that their beloved camp is shutting down because there are fewer campers joining each summer. The news especially saddens Charlie Brown, who feels hopeless about losing a place that has meant so much to him and his friends and is determined to preserve its legacy.

“Meanwhile, on their adventure, Snoopy and Woodstock find the sought-after treasure chest, but are quickly disappointed when they discover it’s not riches, but instruments and photos from past summer concerts held at the camp. Newly inspired, Charlie Brown and the Peanuts gang use the treasure to host their own concert to save the camp.”

This musical special is packed with original songs including “When We Were Light,” “Look Up, Charlie Brown,” and “Leave It Better” by Ben Folds, as well as “Best Time Ever” and “A Place Like This” by Jeff Morrow, Alan Zachary, and Michael Weiner.

“This summer, celebrate the joy and magic of summer camp and the importance of preserving what you love. Charlie Brown loves camp and is determined to make his final year special, but Sally – a first-time camper – is nervous and skeptical of the new and unfamiliar place. While everyone settles into camp, Snoopy and Woodstock discover a treasure map that takes them on a wild adventure nearby.”

Directed by Erik Wiese and written by Craig Schulz, Bryan Schulz, and Cornelius Uliano, the special is produced by Peanuts and WildBrain exclusively for Apple TV+. Executive producers include C. Schulz, B. Schulz, Uliano, Paige Braddock, Josh Scherba, Stephanie Betts, and Logan McPherson.

With 2025 marking the 75th anniversary of Snoopy and the rest of the gang, Snoopy Presents: A Summer Musical feels like the perfect celebration of their enduring charm. Apple TV+ remains the official home for all Peanuts content, so fans have plenty of reasons to tune in and sing along.

The special premieres globally on Friday, August 15, and it's the first Peanuts musical in a whopping 37 years.
