So Capcom Just Registered A DEVIL MAY CRY 5 Domain Name, Should We Expect An Announcement Soon?

Capcom just registered a domain for Devil May Cry 5, which seems to suggest that a new game in the franchise is on the way. Fans of a DMC Discord server spotted a domain registration for devilmaycry5.com. The registration was managed by GMO Internet, which also handled registration of other Capcom sites such as Resident Evil 7, Monster Hunter: World and the recently registered Resident Evil 2 domain.

The speculation circulating the revival of the DMC franchise began, when Hideki Itsuno, the director of Devil May Cry and Dragon’s Dogma, revealed that he was excited to announce a new game soon. Ever since fans started speculating that the unannounced game will be the latest installment in the Devil May Cry series. Furthermore, Capcom recently launched a remaster of the franchise’s first three games via the Devil May Cry HD Collection, which was released for the PC, PS4 and Xbox One.

So given that E3 is just a few days away, maybe the registration of a new Devil May Cry domain name is a clue from Capcom that an announcement may be expected at the event. Hopefully, Capcom doesn’t disappoint and reveal on E3 their plans for the future of Devil May Cry.
