SOLO Star Alden Ehrenreich Says He Hasn't Ruled Out STAR WARS Universe Return, but He Doesn't Take It Lightly

Alden Ehrenreich played the dashing hero Han Solo in the prequel movie Solo: A Star Wars Story (2018), and it gave fans a glimpse at the beloved character and his story before the events of the original Star Wars trilogy.

The film was a one-off, so the actor has not been seen in the role since, but some have wondered if he would be willing to return to tell more stories within the Han Solo backstory lore. While the actor hasn’t ruled it out completely, it sounds like it would have to be a very special project to bring him back.

When asked about the possibility in a new interview with Collider, Ehrenreich said, "It would have to really, really be the right version of it."

Ehrenreich went on to talk about his experience making the movie, saying, "Your job as an actor, in a way, is to use the energy that’s happening [around you].

And sometimes that energy involves stress, but characters are under stress. There are very few characters who are just having a ball. So it’s contributive sometimes. As long as it’s an environment where people feel safe."

The film was directed by Ron Howard, and Ehrenreich was joined in the cast by Donald Glover, Emilia Clarke, Woody Harrelson, Thandiwe Newton, and Phoebe Waller-Bridge.

Since Solo: A Star Wars Story, Ehrenreich has gone on to star in movies like Oppenheimer and Cocaine Bear, as well as the Marvel series Ironheart. He can now be seen in the new horror movie Weapons, which is currently in theaters.

Would you like to see the actor return to the role of Han Solo in some capacity?
