SOLO Writer Jonathan Kasdan Has Talked To Jon Favreau About The Future of Qi'ra in The STAR WARS Universe

Solo: A Star Wars Story was one of the better films that Lucasfilm produced after they bought Lucasfilm, and the story ended with a pretty cool little cliffhanger involving Emilia Clarke’s character Qi'ra and we learned she was a Crimson Dawn crime lord on the rise who is working for Darth Maul

I’ve wondered if we would ever see her again, and according to screenwriter Jonathan Kasdan, he thinks we will see her story continue. He’s even already had conversations about her with Jon Favreau. ScreenRant recently talked to Kasdan at Star Wars Celebration, and this is what he said when asked about the character and if we’d see her again:

"I think we are. I think someday we're gonna see what happened, and how Qi'ra sort of advanced through the world, through the crime syndicates. I've talked to Jon Favreau about it, and he's a big fan of [Solo] and some of the stuff we built out. And I said, 'Well, you're the guy to figure it out.' I always look to him to keep the story alive and keep it going.

"Star Wars is going in so many fun directions. And specifically, I saw that trailer for Andor today, and I thought, 'Well, Enfys Nest is gonna show up somewhere in that show.' So I'm hopeful that a lot of those people continue the journeys they were on."

In Marvel's ongoing Star Wars comics, it’s revealed that Qi'ra actually stole Han Solo's carbonite-frozen body. Crimson Dawn also made an uneasy alliance with Leia and the Rebels in an effort to sabotage and take down the Galactic Empire.

This is an interesting character who plays a decent-sized role in the Star Wars universe. It would make complete sense to continue to tell her story at some point. We’ll just have to be patient and wait to see when, where, and how that will happen.

Would you like to see Qi’ra’s story continue in the Star Wars universe? If so, where do you think she might pop up next?
