Some New Photos From STAR WARS: THE LAST JEDI Has Surfaced Featuring Rey, Poe, Captain Phasma and More
A few new photos have surfaced for Lucasfilm's Star Wars: The Last Jedi. The photos come from the latest issue of Empire Magazine and they offer us new looks at Rey (Daisy Ridley), Poe (Oscar Isaac), Finn (John Boyega), Rose Tico (Kelly Marie Tran), and Captain Phasma (Gwendoline Christie). They also give us behind-the-scenes photos featuring director Rian Johnson working with Chewbacca and the rest of the actors.
I don't know about you, but I'm eating all of this Star Wars stuff up! I enjoy learning and seeing everything I can from this upcoming movie! I know a lot of fans are trying to stay away from stuff, but the more I see the more questions I have, and I love that. It just gets me more excited about what's to come and find out how Captain Phasma escaped the trash compactor!
When talking to NY Times, Johnson was asked if he had to hit certain plot points or make sure the movie had to end in a certain way and he said:
“Nothing like that. But it’s the second film in a trilogy. The first film got these characters here. This second movie has to dig into and challenge these characters. I wanted this to be a satisfying experience unto itself. I didn’t want it to end with a dot, dot, dot, question mark.”
He went on to talk about Luke Skywalker and the heart of the movie, saying:
“That’s him. It sounds pretty dire. That’s something that we’re definitely going to dig into. The heart of the movie is Luke and Rey. It follows all the other characters, but its real essence is the development of the two of them. And it’s absolutely tied up in that question of, What is Luke’s attitude toward the Jedi?”
The movie comes out on December 15th and I'm overflowing with excitement about seeing how the story arc of these great new characters play out over the course of this next chapter.
