Some OBI-WAN KENOBI Trailer Footage Looked Like the Test Footage for the Unproduced STAR WARS: UNDERWORLD Series

Yesterday, Lucasfilm dropped the first teaser trailer for the Obi-Wan Kenobi series, which was awesome! The Star Wars fans seem to be very excited about the show. A lot of people have been wondering what they could possibly do with this story, and well… now you know!

Anyway, as I was watching the trailer there were a few scenes that caught my attention. Those scenes take place on Coruscant and have a very Blade Runner-type style to them. Well, this was going to be the main setting of George Lucasunproduced series Star Wars: Underworld, and there were visuals in the Obi-Wan Kenobi trailer that was similar to the test footage that has been shared for Star Wars: Underworld.

You can watch the Star Wars: Underworld footage below so that you can compare the two. It’s a shame that Lucas never got around to making his series. It would have been set between Star Wars: Episode III — Revenge of the Sith and Star Wars: Episode IV — A New Hope, which is exactly the time that Obi-Wan Kenobi is set.

Anyway, it’s pretty cool that this Coruscant underworld is going to be one of the setting of the series!
