For years humans have been able to stave off the robot uprising by simply going upstairs. As dangerous as robots may be, they can't go upstairs for shit and scientists have worked for years trying to find a solution. Finally, someone just taught a robot how to use an elevator, and now the playing field is presumably even and the robot uprising should be starting any day now.

This video shows ongoing research towards using the feet of a legged robot for simple manipulation tasks. In this example, ANYmal makes use of its large range of motion to reach up to press an elevator button. The button is localized with help of a QR tag.
