Sonic the Hedgehog Creator Reveals Michael Jackson Worked on the SONIC 3 Soundtrack

Sonic The Hedgehog creator Yuji Naka recently casually revealed on Twitter that Michael Jackson worked on the soundtrack for Sonic 3! The random but cool bit of video game trivia was shared on social media.

Naka asked on Twitter: “Does Sonic Origins Sonic 3 have a different song?” Then in a follow-up tweet, he said: "Oh my god, the music for Sonic 3 has changed, even though Sega Official uses Michael Jackson's music."

Naka then went on to share an old photo he took while flying in Jackson's helicopter to visit his home at Neverland Ranch, which is pretty cool! The photo came with the note: “This is a picture taken by me with my camera when we went to his house in his helicopter. It's pretty faded. I miss it.”

There’s been speculation for years that Jackson worked on the soundtrack for Sonic 3. If you listen to it, you can definitely hear his influence. It’s pretty awesome that after all of these years this 30-year-fan theory has been confirmed.
