Sonic the Hedgehog is Getting an Official Energy Drink
If you’ve ever wanted to run like everyone’s favorite blue hedgehog, you now may sort of get a chance. SEGA and G FUEL have teamed up to release a brand new Sonic energy drink. That’s the key to speed, right? Just energy drinks? Well, Sonic’s Peach Rings will be available on August 12 in the U.S. in a 16 oz can via G FUEL’s website. Michael Cisneros of SEGA of America released the following statement:
We’re ecstatic to partner with such an established energy drink company in the gaming community to bring Sonic’s Peach Rings to market. Sonic the Hedgehog has always been a character that embodies perseverance and endurance, which are qualities that are central to G FUEL’s product. We can’t wait for Sonic fans to enjoy it!

If you’re a collector of all things Sonic, you’ll probably be more interested in the powdered form of the drink that will have 40 servings. If that’s not exciting enough, there will be limited-edition collector’s boxes that include the 40-serving tub and a 16 oz shaker cup. These will be available starting August 19.
