Sony Confirms PS5 Players and PS4 Players Will Be Able to Play Together
Sony doesn’t seem to believe that people will quickly drop their PlayStation 4s in favor of the upcoming PlayStation 5. After all, they’re committed to supporting the PS4 for at least 3 more years and they’ve revealed that PS5 will be able to play games with the PS4. This means that if you have a PS5 and your friend has a PS4 and you have the same game, you can still play together. This cross-generational play plays nicely into the idea of Sony seeing backwards compatibility as a very important feature for their next console. I’m not going to lie, I’ve been pissed at PlayStation for a while about boneheaded decisions, but now they seem to be doing at least some things right. Are you going to be getting a PS5 or do you think you’ll stick with your PS4?
