Sony Releases New TV Spot for THE INTERVIEW After Movie Is Cancelled
A day after Sony Pictures cancelled James Franco and Seth Rogen's action comedy The Interview, the studio released a new TV spot for it called "In Franco & Rogen We Trust." I just assume that this was an accident, but maybe it wasn't. The video was uploaded and set to go live today. The title of the trailer signifies how Sony Pictures felt before they up and scrapped the film. The studio stood behind Franco and Rogen through the situation until there were threats of blowing up theaters. The trailer also came along with the following caption:
Only one movie has the whole world talking. In Rogen and Franco we trust.
The spot advertises the December 25th release date, but I'm pretty sure that the movie is still not being released. If they did release this spot on purpose, it pretty much sums up the absurdity of the situation. Especially the part where some security guards strip Rogen naked, and he gets revenge by waving his penis at them. Maybe it was on purpose!
