SOUTH PARK Has Been Banned in China Due to Most Recent Episode, Trey Parker and Matt Stone Respond

The most recent episode of the long-running adult cartoon series South Park, entitled “Band in China,” has, in fact, been banned in China. THR reported that the episode apparently “mocked Hollywood for shaping its content to please the Chinese government,” to which “Beijing has responded by deleting all clips, episodes and discussions of the Comedy Central show.”

The episode’s content comes as no surprise to anyone familiar with the series and its creators. And neither does the pair’s response to the ban from the powerful country. Trey Parker and Matt Stone issued a statement on their Twitter account following the events. Here’s what it said:

So, that’s interesting. But it sounds like the guys don’t really care too much about the ban, and are just going to keep doing their thing. Have you watched the episode? What do you think of the ban?
