Speedcheck Crunches the Numbers of CYBERPUNK 2077 on Google Stadia

Cyberpunk 2077 has had a rough month. However, I have really enjoyed my time exploring Night City on Google Stadia. Well, the team over at Speedcheck have crunched some numbers about playing Cyberpunk 2077 on Stadia and it’s interesting to see. For starters, they looked at how fast of a connection you need to play the game at four different resolutions. Starting at 720p, you’ll need 11 Mbps, 22 Mbps for 1080p, 37 Mbps for 4K, and 42 Mbps for 4K HDR. Keep in mind that these numbers are for if the game is the only thing using the internet. In addition, they limited their bandwidth to only 5 Mbps for 720p and the lag was a real problem. The team also found that the game only takes less than 45 seconds to launch on Stadia.

I think Stadia is a decent service that’s worth considering, but with the way internet is in the United States, it can be hard to get a network that meets your requirements for the gaming platform.
