SPIDER-MAN 3 Reportedly Bringing Back Tobey Maguire, Andrew Garfield, Kirsten Dunst, and Emma Stone
We just learned that Alfred Molina was set to reprise his role as Doctor Octopus in Marvel and Sony’s Spider-Man 3. Collider is also reporting that even more characters from past Spider-Man films will be in the movie!
There have been a lot of rumors and speculation about this, but according to this recent report, Andrew Garfield will be back as Spider-Man, and Sony and Marvel are in the process of trying to close a deal with Tobey Maguire, but the report says “he'll be back too.”
They go on to reveal that Kirsten Dunst will return as Mary Jane Watson, and they also expect Emma Stone to “reprise her role as Gwen Stacy, pregnancy permitting.”
Ever since we learned that Benedict Cumberbatch would appear in the film as Doctor Strange and Jamie Foxx was reprising his role as Electro, fans knew that this stuff was coming. We knew that this next film was going to dive into and play around in the multiverse. We just didn’t know to what extent, but now it’s all coming together.
I really hope that director Jon Watts, producer Kevin Fiege, and the rest of the creative team deliver a great story. I know a lot of fans are thinking that this could end up being a shit show, but I’m confident that Feige and his team are going to deliver something insanely epic. There’s no way they are going to let the fans down. They have come up with an awesome story they want to tell, and I can’t wait to see it!
Zendaya, Marisa Tomei, Tony Revolori, and Jacob Batalon are all reprising their roles, and the movie is currently set to be released on December 17th, 2021.
