SPIDER-MAN: ACROSS THE SPIDER-VERSE Will Take Miles Morales to "Places You Couldn't Imagine"
Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse is one of my favorite Spider-Man films, and I’m pretty freakin’ excited for the upcoming sequel Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse, which will be a two-part film. Now screenwriter and producer Phil Lord is teasing what we can expect from the film telling IndieWire:
"It’s been fun to have the confidence to go even harder and push the medium even further and take Miles [Morales] to places you couldn’t imagine.”
That sounds exciting! I can’t wait to see how this sequel pushes the envelop and see the wild unimaginable journey that the story will take Miles on.
Shameik Moore returns to provide the voice of Miles Morales, while Hailee Steinfeld will be back as Spider-Gwen. Miles is also set to face off against Spider-Man 2099, who is voiced by Oscar Isaac.
Here’s the synosis:
Miles Morales returns for the next chapter of the Oscar®-winning Spider-Verse saga, an epic adventure that will transport Brooklyn’s full-time, friendly neighborhood Spider-Man across the Multiverse to join forces with Gwen Stacy and a new team of Spider-People to face off with a villain more powerful than anything they have ever encountered.
Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse is being directed by Joaquim Dos Santos, Kemp Powers and Justin K. Thompson, and it was written by Phil Lord and Christopher Miller, with David Callaham. The movie will be released in theaters on October 7th, 2022.
