Sony Pictures shared the very first footage from the highly anticipated film Spider-Man: Beyond The Spider-Verse and I can’t wait to see how this story concludes with the final film in the trailogy! This is our reaction of the footage that was shared!
The story centers on Brooklyn high schooler Miles Morales, who becomes the new Spider-Man and joins other Spider-People from parallel universes to save New York City, and other multiversal locales, from various threats.
Plot details for the third film haven’t been revealed but the story presumably involves Miles Morales facing another crisis… a villainous version of himself from another universe.
Beyond will be bigger and bolder than the first two films. It’ll feature new styles and innovations and pick up the next second from the end of the previous film.”
Both Into the Spider-Verse (2018) and Across the Spider-Verse (2023) were critical and box office hits, pulling in a combined $1.08 billion and serious awards attention, including an Oscar win and another nomination.
With Beyond the Spider-Verse promising to deliver a conclusion to Miles’ epic journey, fans can finally mark their calendars for June 18, 2027.
