SPIDER-MAN: BRAND NEW DAY BTS Video Shows Off a Scrapped Practical Spidey Parkour Scene
Some cool stunt footage from Spider-Man: Brand New Day has surfaced, giving fans a look at a practical Spider-Man sequence that didn’t make the final cut.
The behind-the-scenes video shows Spidey tearing across the top of a building before launching himself into the open air and onto a matt.
It’s a fun bit of Spider-Man parkour, especially because so much of the stunt appears to have been performed practically.
The sequence ultimately wasn’t used in Spider-Man: Brand New Day, but the movie still featured a solid mix of awesome practical stunt work and CG effects to bring Spider-Man’s movement and web-swinging action to life.
Footage like this makes you wonder how many other unused stunts and alternate action beats are sitting in the vault. Hopefully, the eventual Digital and 4K Blu-ray releases include a substantial look at the making of the movie and show how some of these Spider-Man stunt sequences were pulled off.
