SPIDER-MAN: BRAND NEW DAY Launches Global "Spidey Tracker" and Confirms San Diego Comic-Con Panel

Sony Pictures is kicking off the next phase of the marketing campaign for Spider-Man: Brand New Day, and it looks like fans are about to have plenty to keep an eye on in the weeks leading up to the movie's release.

The studio has officially launched the Spidey Tracker, a new interactive feature that appears to be teasing Spider-Man sightings across the globe.

While the tracker hasn't fully gone live yet, it already hints that the web-slinger will be making appearances in numerous locations as Sony gears up for what sounds like a massive worldwide promotional push.

Exactly what those appearances will look like remains a mystery. There could be live fan events featuring Spider-Man performers, special activations, or other promotional experiences tied to the movie.

Another possibility is that the tracker is simply being used to map out a globe-spanning press tour that will see the cast visiting major cities around the world ahead of the film's debut.

One fan reportedly found a way to access the complete Spidey Tracker ahead of schedule, revealing the full list of planned stops. So if you're curious whether Spider-Man might be swinging through your area, the information is already circulating online.

One of the biggest reveals connected to the tracker is confirmation that Spider-Man: Brand New Day will have a panel at next month's San Diego Comic-Con. With the convention taking place from July 23 through July 26, many fans are already speculating that Sony will use the event to unveil the movie's final trailer just days before its theatrical release.

Earlier this year, Tom Holland discussed the scale of the upcoming promotional tour and admitted it's going to be an ambitious undertaking.

"The press tour that we are about to go on is humongous. I’m not going to lie and say that I’m not daunted by the travel and the number of events we are going to. But one of the things that I love, especially for Spider-Man, is that the movie is all about community."

He continued: "All of these stops that we’re doing, we are working in cultural events, community events, and there will be charitable components. When you can promote a movie but also shed some light on amazing causes, that’s what really makes a difference."

As for the movie, Spider-Man: Brand New Day picks up with Peter Parker living in a world that no longer remembers who he is. Fully committed to fighting crime as Spider-Man, Peter is forced to watch as the people he once cared about continue their lives without him. The emotional toll of that isolation begins to change him in ways he may not be able to control.

Unfortunately for Peter, a new threat emerges at the same time. The city is targeted by a dangerous villain that nobody can even see, creating a challenge unlike anything he's faced before. While the world may have forgotten Peter Parker, he certainly hasn't forgotten them.

The film also stars Zendaya, Sadie Sink, Jacob Batalon, Jon Bernthal, Tramell Tillman, Michael Mando, and Mark Ruffalo.

Spider-Man: Brand New Day is directed by Destin Daniel Cretton from a screenplay by Chris McKenna and Erik Sommers.

With the Spidey Tracker now rolling out, a global press tour on the horizon, and a major Comic-Con presentation confirmed, it looks like Sony is preparing a huge final stretch of promotion for the next Spider-Man adventure.

Spider-Man: Brand New Day swings into theaters on July 31, 2026.
