SPIDER-MAN: BRAND NEW DAY Office Predictions Could Push Past NO WAY HOME and Make Marvel History
If the latest box office tracking is even close to accurate, Spider-Man: Brand New Day could be about to swing into the record books in a huge way.
The next chapter in Tom Holland's Spider-Man story is already carrying enormous expectations, but the latest projections suggest the film could do something even Spider-Man: No Way Home couldn't.
Early industry estimates point to an opening weekend that has a real shot at becoming the biggest in franchise history and one of the biggest domestic debuts the industry has ever seen.
According to Variety, most industry forecasts currently have Brand New Day opening between $260 million and $280 million domestically. If those numbers hold, the film would edge past Spider-Man: No Way Home, which launched with an incredible $260 million in North America back in 2021.
There are even analysts who believe the movie could climb beyond the $300 million mark, although Sony is reportedly keeping its own expectations much lower, with internal projections sitting between $190 million and $195 million.
Even those conservative estimates would still make for an impressive debut, but if the higher-end forecasts become reality, Brand New Day would immediately join the elite ranks of the biggest opening weekends ever.
Right now, No Way Home holds the second-largest domestic opening in history with $260 million, trailing only Avengers: Endgame, which exploded into theaters with $357 million.
The excitement isn't limited to North America, either. Internationally, Brand New Day is expected to pull in another $275 million to $300 million during its opening weekend. Some analysts believe those overseas numbers could end up even higher once the film actually arrives in theaters.
It's easy to understand why expectations are so high. No Way Home became a global phenomenon, earning nearly $1.9 billion worldwide despite never receiving a theatrical release in China.
That film left audiences wanting more from Holland's version of Peter Parker, and there's clearly still a massive appetite to see where his story goes next.
The new movie will also benefit from premium large-format screenings, although it won't have access to IMAX during its opening weekend. Christopher Nolan's The Odyssey is still occupying the format as part of its exclusive engagement, meaning Brand New Day will have to break records without one of the biggest premium screen advantages available.
Even so, the momentum behind the film appears incredibly strong. Marvel Studios and Sony Pictures may be looking at another massive theatrical event, and if audiences show up the way industry insiders expect, Brand New Day could end up setting a new benchmark for the Spider-Man franchise.
We'll find out soon enough when Spider-Man: Brand New Day swings into theaters on July 31, 2026. If these projections become reality, Peter Parker's next adventure could kick off with one of the biggest opening weekends moviegoers have ever seen.
