SPIDER-MAN: BRAND NEW DAY Tickets Go On Sale as New Posters, Theater Merch, and ScreenX Experience Swing Into View

While many were expecting a brand-new trailer for Spider-Man: Brand New Day to arrive alongside ticket sales today, that hasn’t happened... at least not yet.

Despite rumors and several leaked versions making the rounds online in recent weeks, Sony never officially announced a trailer release. So for now, fans will have to keep waiting.

Even without fresh trailer footage, Sony has given audiences plenty to look at. Ticket sales for the highly anticipated next chapter in Peter Parker’s story have officially begun, and they’ve been accompanied by a collection of striking new posters, a first look at Spider-Man-themed theater merchandise, a new featurette, and details on a unique premium theatrical presentation that could make this one of the most immersive Spidey movies yet.

One of the more interesting reveals comes from Variety, which reports that Spider-Man: Brand New Day will launch a new premium large-format experience called “Shot for ScreenX.” Since the film won’t be receiving an IMAX release, this appears to be one of Sony’s alternative ways of offering moviegoers an expanded theatrical event.

What makes this ScreenX presentation different is that footage was specifically captured during production to enhance the side-screen experience. According to director Destin Daniel Cretton, this isn’t simply a reformatted version of the movie.

Cretton explained: "CJ 4DPlex and their team came to the set to actually shoot the footage that you will experience on screen in the wings of the chosen scenes of our film. This is a first. It’s something truly unique that nobody has experienced before –you’re going to love it.”

Don Savant, CEO and President of CJ 4DPlex Americas, also shared his enthusiasm for the collaboration, saying:

"'Spider-Man' represents the kind of event franchise that demonstrates the power of premium theatrical formats. We’re proud to continue our collaboration on 'Brand New Day' with a ScreenX presentation that celebrates the scale, energy and emotional depth of this beloved character in a way uniquely suited for the theatrical environment."

Whether this turns out to be a genuine game-changing viewing experience or another premium-format marketing experiment remains to be seen.

Comparisons have already been made to the "Infinity Vision" format that Avengers: Doomsday will utilize later this year in place of IMAX. Still, the fact that additional footage was reportedly captured specifically for the ScreenX presentation makes this feel like a more ambitious effort.

The newly released promotional materials also offer another look at Tom Holland’s latest Spider-Man suit and continue teasing the film’s larger mystery. Sony’s official synopsis paints a fascinating picture of where Peter Parker finds himself following the events of Spider-Man: No Way Home.

In Spider-Man: Brand New Day, it's a Brand New Day for Peter Parker. Fighting crime full-time as Spider-Man in a world that doesn’t remember him, and the pressure of seeing his old friends move on without him, sparks a change in Peter he may not have the power to control.

But that transformation might also be the only thing that can stop a shocking new threat to the city and those he loves - a powerful villain no one can even see. The world may have forgotten Peter Parker, but he hasn’t forgotten them.

The film stars Tom Holland, Zendaya, Sadie Sink, Jacob Batalon, Jon Bernthal, Tramell Tillman, Michael Mando, and Mark Ruffalo.

Spider-Man: Brand New Day is directed by Destin Daniel Cretton from a screenplay by Chris McKenna and Erik Sommers.

For now, fans can grab their tickets, check out the newly revealed merchandise and posters, and continue the countdown to what looks like another awesome chapter in Spider-Man’s cinematic journey.

Spider-Man: Brand New Day swings into theaters on July 31, 2026.
