SPIDER-MAN: FAR FROM HOME Director Teases That Uncle Ben Could Eventually Be Introduced in the MCU

Peter Parker’s story in the MCU is very different than anything that has been done before with the character. At this point, anything is possible with the future of Spider-Man, including the introduction of Uncle Ben.

We have yet to see a version of Uncle Ben in the MCU, but Spider-Man: Far From Home director Jon Watts teased that could change. There’s a chance that one day we could see Uncle Ben introduced. We know the character does exist in the MCU because the suitcase Peter takes on his trip to Europe has the initials B.F.P. engraved on it, as it belonged to his uncle.

During an interview with ScreenCrush, Watts didn't count out the possibility of an appearance in the future. He said:

"Yes, Uncle Ben did exist in the MCU. Yeah. I mean, we don’t know.... We never specifically say anything about him. So whether or not he’s around or not.”

So, Uncle Ben could be running around somewhere in the MCU, which would be interesting. Watts went on to say, “Yeah. Everything’s on the table, is how I like to say it.”

That means Uncle Ben is on the table to eventually use if Watts and Kevin Feige decide that introducing him would be a proper move for Spider-Man’s story arc that they are in the middle of telling.

As you know, Ben’s death has always been the driving force behind Peter’s motivation and inspiration to be a hero. That is not how things have played out in this iteration of the story, so if they did decide to introduce him now, it would be interesting to see how the character would be utilized and what would he bring into Peter’s life.

Would you like to see Uncle Ben introduced in the MCU? If so, how would you like to see him utilized at this point?
