SPIDER-MAN: HOMECOMING Director Jon Watts in Talks To Direct The Sequel

Jon Watts did an amazing job with Spider-Man: Homecoming. Fans loved the film and so it's no surprise that Marvel Studios and Sony Pictures want him to come back for the sequel. According to Variety, Watts is currently in talks with the studios to continue the journey of Spider-Man.

I think a lot of us assumed Watts would be back to direct, but you never know! Hollywood is a strange place sometimes where choices are made for movies that don't make sense. So, I'm happy to see that Watts, Marvel, and Sony are looking to work together again.

We know that there will be at least two more Spider-Man films that will be set in the MCU. Whatever happens after that is still up in the air.

The second installment of Spider-Man is set to hit theaters on July 5, 2019.
