SPIDER-MAN: HOMECOMING — New Details on Spidey's Costume Upgrade and Villains

If you're interested in learning a few rumored details of Marvel and Sony's Spider-Man: Homecoming, thanks to JoBlo, we've got something for you. I'll throw out a SPOILER WARNING for some of you spoiler sensitive souls out there.

The new version of Peter Parker/Spider-Man made his big screen debut in Captain America: Civil War, and audiences loved him! He was easily one of the most entertaining parts of the film, and now we can't wait to see how his upcoming solo film from director Jon Watts turns out.

There were some rumors about the plot of the film that were previously leaked. Those rumors could very well be false, but it's still a good read! We now have some new details from the film that come from a trusted source.

JoBlo offers up some details on the villains in the film, saying that they can confirm Michael Keaton is, in fact, playing The Vulture and that he is the main villain of the movie. They go on to say that The Vulture will be aided by another villain named The Tinkerer, who is going to help build Vulture's suit with recovered Chitauri technology from the Battle of New York in the first Avengers film.

They go on to reveal some information about some of the upgrades in Spider-Man's costume that we'll probably see. As you know, Tony Stark will be in the film, and he will have a mentor type role in the story and that will include making some modifications to Spidey's suit. In regards to that, the site reports:

"What kind of modifications? Well, if you stuck it out for the end credits of Civil War you got to see Peter Parker discover Stark’s costume Easter Egg for the web shooters that also featured Spidey’s signature signal light. Well, it looks like we’ll be seeing more old-school signature Spidey features, as Stark will also be supplying the classic Web Wings from the comics that will be able to deploy as needed. So, it appears Spider-Man is going back to his Stan Lee/Steve Ditko roots and that is pretty badass."

Badass indeed! I was actually kind of hoping that the web wings would eventually be incorporated, so this rumor gives me hope for that! There's lots of really cool and exciting stuff here, and I can't wait to see Spider-Man back in action in his own adventure! What do you think of the latest rumors?

The upcoming film also stars Tom Holland as Spider-Man, Marisa Tomei as Aunt May, Robert Downey Jr. as Iron Man/Tony Stark, Tony Revolori as Manuel, and Zendaya as Michelle. Spider-Man: Homecoming will be released on July 7th, 2017.
