SPIDER-MAN: NO WAY HOME Concept Art Reveals America Chavez Almost Made an Appearance
Some concept art that was created for Marvel’s Spider-Man: No Way Home reveals that America Chavez (Xochitl Gomez) was going to make her big MCU debut in the movie. Now her debut will come in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.
The concept art was revealed by artist Maciej Kuciara, and it features the character appearing to Peter Parker and his friends.
America Chavez’s powers consist of superhuman strength, superhuman speed, flight, invulnerability, and superhuman durability, and she can also create a star-shaped portal to other realities/dimensions. With the multiverse cracking open in the film, I can see why they wanted to include her.
We actually saw a little bit of footage of her in the trailer that was released for Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. I really don’t know that much about this character, but I’m curious to see what kind of role that she plays in the MCU.
