Spider-Man Rumored to be Referenced in ANT-MAN
We all know that Spider-Man will be making his way into the Marvel Cinematic Universe. He’ll make his first physical appearance in Captain America: Civil War, but according to a new rumor, the first mention of the character in the MCU could happen in Ant-Man. The news comes from Latino-Review, who reports:
"We've heard an unconfirmed rumor there is "lots of" talk of/references to Spider-Man and OsCorp in the current version of Ant-Man."
A reference or mention of the superhero and OsCorp doesn’t seem like it would be out of the question. I know there were some on-set script re-writes going on while director Peyton Reed was shooting Ant-Man, so it wouldn't surprise me if something like this was added.
It makes sense that the studio would want to start planting the seeds of the webslinger in the MCU before he actually shows up in it.
