Spider-Man Star Tom Holland Also Wants to Play Batman and James Bond
Ben Affleck and Daniel Craig better stay on their toes because Tom Holland wants their job and at the rate his career is escalating, he might just get them!
Tom Holland is already playing Peter Parker/Spider-Man for Marvel and he's set to take on the role of Nathan Drake in the Uncharted movie, which no one saw coming. Now he wants to play Batman and James Bond!
While being interviewed by his Spider-Man: Homecoming co-star Zendaya for Interview magazine, Holland was asked what iconic movie role he would like to play and his response was:
"James Bond. Or maybe I'll do Batman."
Zendaya responded with:
“It would be a little unfair if you got to play Spider-Man, James Bond, and Batman, Tom."
Holland then playfully snapped back with:
“It would be so unfair. But life isn't fair, Zendaya."
It seems like Holland is such a likable kid that if he came to the producers of these films and pitched them an idea for a younger version of these characters, they'd probably go for it. That's how he landed the Nathan Drake role!
The young actor also shared an amusing story about his audition process for Spider-Man saying:
“That process was five months. I did eight auditions. I did five self-tapes, and then a screen test with Robert Downey Jr. and a screen test with Chris Evans. In the screen test with Robert Downey Jr., they brought me into the room and I met him. I was so nervous. In my head, I thought, ‘Wow, you look really weird in person. You don’t look like you do onscreen.’ I found out later that I met his stand-in.”
I don't think we'll ever see Holland in the role of Batman of James Bond, but I would have said the same thing about Spider-Man and Nathan Darke, so ya never know!
