SPIDER-NOIR Promo Reveals Sandman, Electro, Silvermane & More in Nicolas Cage’s Gritty Marvel Series

A new look at Spider-Noir has surfaced, and it’s packing some serious villain heat. Amazon Prime Video is gearing up for the debut of the highly anticipated Marvel series, and a stylish promo making the rounds online teases the rogues’ gallery that will test this hard-boiled version of Spider-Man.

The animated promo, first shared by Brazilian outlet Omelete, highlights a set of character posters that spotlight Spider-Noir and several major players in the series.

Leading the charge is Nicolas Cage as Spider-Noir, alongside Cat Hardy, played by Li Jun Li. But, the villains are stealing plenty of attention here.

The lineup includes Electro, played by Joe Massingill, Sandman, played by Jack Huston, and Silvermane, played by Brendan Gleeson. There’s also an unnamed villain portrayed by Abraham Popoola, who many suspect could be Hammerhead.

That’s a solid mix of classic Spider-Man adversaries, all reimagined through a shadowy noir lens. The posters were unveiled ahead of CCXP in Mexico City, Mexico, which runs April 24-26, 2026.

Spider-Noir will premiere in the United States on MGM+ on May 25, 2026, before launching globally on Prime Video on May 27, 2026.

The eight-episode series is set in an alternate universe within Sony’s Spider-Man Universe, and viewers will have the option to stream it in black-and-white or in color. If you want the full moody detective vibe, the monochrome version sounds like the way to go.

This project also marks Cage’s first starring role in a television series, which makes it an even bigger deal. He previously voiced the character in Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, and now he’s stepping fully into the trench coat, and he looks great in the show!

The story drops us into 1930s New York City, where Ben Reilly is no fresh-faced hero. He’s an aging private investigator who’s had his share of bad luck.

Years ago, he operated in secret as the vigilante known as The Spider, until a personal tragedy forced him to walk away. When a strange and dangerous new case lands in his lap, Reilly finds himself pulled back into the masked life he tried to leave behind.

The series was co-created by Oren Uziel and Steve Lightfoot, with Amy Pascal, Phil Lord, and Christopher Miller also heavily involved. Lord and Miller, of course, helped shape the animated Spider-Verse films, so their fingerprints are all over this expanding corner of the Marvel multiverse.

With Sandman, Electro, and Silvermane confirmed, Spider-Noir looks like a full-on crime saga wrapped in a superhero mythos. Between Cage’s larger-than-life presence and the promise of a vintage Marvel detective story, this is sure to end up being one of the more unique Spider-Man projects we’ve seen.

We’ll see how it all comes together when Spider-Noir swings onto screens this May.
