SPIDER-NOIR TV Spot Unleashes Electro Showdown and First Look at Cat Hardy

A gritty new TV spot for Spider-Noir has been shared, and it gives us a pulpy slice of what this live-action Marvel series is cooking up.

The 30-second promo throws Nicolas Cage’s Ben Reilly into a charged confrontation with Electro and sets the stage for his first encounter with Cat Hardy, this world’s smoky reimagining of Black Cat.

We also glimpse Flint Marko, aka Sandman. Don’t expect massive sandstorms swallowing city blocks. This version looks more street-level, which honestly fits the shadowy 1930s vibe the series is chasing.

Then there’s Cat Hardy. Hardy is this show’s take on Felicia Hardy, reimagined as a nightclub chanteuse who draws Reilly deeper into the criminal conspiracy lurking beneath New York’s surface.

Showrunner Oren Uziel previously explained the inspiration behind her character, saying: "Really, she’s Rita Hayworth, who was so great in Gilda and Lady from Shanghai, and then a little bit of Lauren Bacall, because Bogey and Bacall go so well together,"

"There's some Kim Basinger from L.A. Confidential, in terms of how she fits into everything. She's an amalgam of a lot of different things."

Cat Hardy isn’t just a love interest. She’s classic noir energy wrapped in danger and allure, the kind of character who can light up a room and flip the entire story on its head.

Spider-Noir is based on the Marvel comic Spider-Man Noir and follows Ben Reilly, a weathered private investigator in 1930s New York. After a deeply personal tragedy, he’s forced to confront his past while operating as the city’s only superhero. It’s a wall-crawler story filtered through trench coats, dim street lamps, and moral gray areas.

The series features a strong ensemble cast alongside Cage, including Lamorne Morris, Li Jun Li, Karen Rodriguez, Abraham Popoola, Jack Huston, and Brendan Gleeson.

Guest stars include Lukas Haas, Cameron Britton, Cary Christopher, Michael Kostroff, Scott MacArthur, Joe Massingill, Whitney Rice, Amanda Schull, Andrew Caldwell, Amy Aquino, Andrew Robinson, and Kai Caster.

The show is produced by Sony Pictures Television exclusively for MGM+ and Prime Video. The first two episodes are directed and executive produced by Emmy Award winner Harry Bradbeer, known for his work on Fleabag and Killing Eve.

Uziel and Steve Lightfoot developed the series alongside the Oscar-winning creative team behind Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, including Phil Lord, Christopher Miller, and Amy Pascal.

This new TV spot may be short, but it makes one thing clear. Spider-Noir isn’t trying to be a glossy superhero spectacle. It’s going for something moodier, stranger, and a little rough around the edges. I like it!
