Spike Jonze Directed a Short Dance Film Live with Mia Wasikowska and Lakeith Stanfield and it will Put a Smile on Your Face

Spike Jonze is one hell of a talented director that has made some great films in his career. He's also directed some great music videos as well. Jonze recently did something that's pretty amazing. He recently directed a short dance film live on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon with Mia Wasikowska and Lakeith Stanfield, and it turned out spectacular!

No joke, I had a smile on my face from beginning to end. I dare you to watch this and not smile! It's just so freakin' charming and it managed to bring a little extra happiness into my life today.

Jonze took an excerpt from the theatrical dance piece Changers: A Dance Story, and adapted it into a short film that he shot live on the set of The Tonight Show. It featured music by Run the Jewels, and I hope you enjoy it as much as I did!

It's explained that the Changers: A Dance Story project is a theatrical show that explores the "evolution of relationships and will be told through movement and dance." It had a limited run at the La MaMa and it will end on Friday. But! Jonze said that he plans to film the performance, with this live dance film being the first part of the 40-minute narrative. He explained:

“We’ve been filming a lot of it. We’re going to film a bunch of it on the streets tomorrow, we’re going to go down to Tompkins Square Park and do a bunch of pieces and cut it together. We’re going to release it at some point online.”

After watching this video, I can't wait to see the final product. Now, check out the video!
