Spike Lee Is Producing a Third TALES FROM THE HOOD Movie

The Tales From the Hood anthology horror film franchise isn’t dead yet! There’s a third film being developed by the original creative team that includes executive producer Spike Lee and writers/directors/producers Rusty Cundieff (The Chapelle Show, The Wanda Sykes Show) and Darin Scott (Menace II Society, Caught Up). 

The films are basically like Tales From the Crypt, but with an urban spin and it tell a series of creepy “socially aware” horror stories. With the popularity of films like Jordan Peele’s Get Out and Us, it seems like Tales From the Hood is primed for a revival.

I enjoyed the first two films, and it’ll be fun to see what news stories will be included in the third movie. According to Production Weekly, the film will start shooting in late September in Winnipeg.

The movie will also be released in 2020 and mark the 25th anniversary of the original film. Below you’ll find the trailers for the first two films.
