SPLINTER CELL: ECHOES on the Way from Dynamite Entertainment
Previously released as part of the Splinter Cell Blacklist collector's edition, Splinter Cell: Echoes is now coming out as a 4 part miniseries book from Ubisoft and Dynamite Entertainment, home of Red Sonja, Green Hornet, Vamperiella, and many others. The book is filling in the gaps between Conviction and Blacklist, and revolves around a new terrorist organization called KROWE. Apparently KROWE's Netflix subscription ran out, so they have resorted to causing trouble, and it's up to Sam to stop them.
Yeah, that's probably not the reason why, but if that ends up being the big twist, you heard it here first!
The series is being written by Nathan Edmondson, who is also writing Marvel's current Black Widow series, and as a current reader of that book, Mr. Edmondson is a perfect fit for Sam Fisher. On art duties for Echoes is Marc Laming, whose work includes Exile on the Planet of the Apes, Rinse, etc, and you can catch a glimpse of his stellar artwork in the preview images below. His work seems to fit Sam and the world he lives in very well, and I look forward to seeing more of it when Echoes Issue 1 releases on July 2nd.
