Spock's Canon Full Name Is Revealed on Poster for STAR TREK: STRANGE NEW WORLDS
Thanks to a new character poster for Star Trek: Strange New Worlds that was spotted at Mission Chicago Star Trek convention, we now know what Spock’s canon full name is. You know, it’s funny, because I’ve never really thought about what Spock’s full name might be, it’s just always been Spock!
But, the character does have a full name and that name is S'chn T'Gain Spock! You can go ahead and pronounce that any way you want. This is the first time that the half-Vulcan’s full name has appeared in on-screen canon. The full name originally appeared in author Barbara Hambly’s 1985 Pocket Books novel Star Trek: Ishmael.
Ethan Peck is talking on the role of Lt. Commander S’chn T’Gain Spock in Strange New Worlds. It was also revealed that Babs Olusanmokun's Dr. M'Benga full name is Dr. Jabilo M'Benga.
The show is based on the years Captain Christopher Pike manned the helm of the U.S.S. Enterprise. The series will follow Captain Pike, Science Officer Spock and Number One in the years before Captain Kirk boarded the U.S.S. Enterprise, as they explore new worlds around the galaxy.
Star Trek: Strange New Worlds also stars Anson Mount as Captain Christopher Pike, Rebecca Romijn as Number One, Celia Rose Gooding as Cadet Nyota Uhura, Christina Chong as Lieutenant La’an Noonien Singh, and Melissa Navia as Lt. Erica Ortegas.
The show is set to premiere on Paramount+ on May 5th. Check out the posters below thanks to TrekCore.
