Spooky and Enchanting Trailer For THE HOUSE WITH A CLOCK IN ITS WALLS with Jack Black and Cate Blanchett
We have our first trailer for The House with a Clock in Its Walls. This was my first exposure to the film and books by John Bellaire and it looks like a fun movie for the whole family. I am really intrigued by this film that looks equal parts spooky and enchanting. It has some elements that kids may find scary, but I got more of a magical adventure type vibe from it as an adult. If you don’t know anything about this film here’s a synopsis:
“In the tradition of Amblin classics where fantastical events occur in the most unexpected places, Jack Black and two-time Academy Award® winner Cate Blanchett star in THE HOUSE WITH A CLOCK IN ITS WALLS, from Amblin Entertainment. The magical adventure tells the spine-tingling tale of 10-year-old Lewis (Owen Vaccaro) who goes to live with his uncle in a creaky old house with a mysterious tick-tocking heart. But his new town’s sleepy façade jolts to life with a secret world of warlocks and witches when Lewis accidentally awakens the dead.”
The House with a Clock was surprisingly directed by Eli Roth (Hostel) from a script written by Supernatural creator Eric Kripke. The movie stars Jack Black and Cate Blanchett and is currently slated for release on September 21, 2018. Other stars of the film include Owen Vacarro, Kyle McLachlan, Collen Camp, Renee Elise Goldsberry, Vanessa Anne Williams, and Sunny Suljic. Williams and Suljic are newcomers and I’m hoping for the best since I believe we need more fresh blood in films. Sound off in the comments if you’re excited about this film.
