Spotify Testing Lite Version Of Its App In Brazil

A "lite" version of the Spotify app is currently undergoing testing in Brazil, and it may be the future solution for music streamers looking to save a bit of their data TechRadar reports this new app is only about 15mb, and includes features that allow a user to cap the amount of data they allot to music streaming, as well as take up less space on your phone.

That sounds great, although there are some key features missing that may have some asking if it's worth switching out to. Offline listening is not an option on this app, and music can only be listened to on shuffle. Those are some pretty substantial features to have missing, and I could totally see a lot of people opting out of this app for that reason.

Of course, we don't know if this version of Spotify will reach U.S. shores anytime soon or ever, but if it did would you be happy about it? Would you use a paired down version of Spotify?
