SPOTLIGHT Trailer: A Terrific Cast Uncovers Abuse in The Catholic Church
Director Tom McCarthy got a lot of crap last year for his Adam Sandler film The Cobbler, but it looks like he's bouncing back in a major way with Spotlight, the new film based on the sexual abuse scandal of the Catholic Church that was uncovered by reporters at the Boston Globe. And get a load of this cast: Michael Keaton, Mark Ruffalo, Rachel McAdams, Stanley Tucci, Liev Schrieber, Billy Crudup, and John Slattery. That is a heck of a group of actors, and I'd be on board for just about any project that could lure in talent like that.
It's tough subject matter, but it looks like they've turned it into a compelling film. Spotlight hits theaters on November 6th. Apple has the HD trailer, and JoBlo created the embed below.
