Square Enix Releases Full Playlist for LIFE IS STRANGE: TRUE COLORS
Can’t wait for the September 10 launch of Life is Strange True Colors? Well now you can get hyped for the game by listening to the full soundtrack and check out the playlist for Life is Strange Wavelengths while you’re at it.
Jon Zimmerman, Narrative Director at Deck Nine Games says:
“Music has always been a core part of Life is Strange. The emotions and feelings that music can elicit are such an incredible tool in a game that is all about exploring empathy. For Life is Strange: True Colors, we wanted players to experience the peaks and valleys of Alex’s journey visually, emotionally, and auditorily. We are delighted to be able to feature such a diverse roster of truly inspiring musical talent.”
Ben Sumner, music supervisor at Feel For Music says:
“With music being so important to Life is Strange, as music supervisors for the franchise we’ve continually tried to raise the bar. Life is Strange: True Colors is the most ambitious project to date with more licensed tracks than ever and exclusive new music from 3 major artists. A lot of passion has gone into making it all happen over the last few years, so it’s great to finally be able share it with everyone.”
I’ve been listening to this soundtrack and it is very chill indie type music. I’m interested to see how the music adds to the overall ambience and mood of the game. I think this will be especially interesting given Alex’s powers of empathy and to see how her powers grow and how that affects her growth as a person. I don’t often listen to this genre of music, but it has been nice background music when life is stressful. You can pick up Life is Strange True Colors for PlayStation 5®, PlayStation 4®, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PC Steam, GeForce NOW and Google Stadia on September 10, 2021 and on Nintendo Switch later this year.
