There's a DANCE DANCE REVOLUTION Movie in Development

Movie adaptations of video games are nothing new. In fact, I’m sure many of us have at least one game that we want to see adapted. I’d be intrigued by a Kingdom Hearts movie (although that story is way too convoluted to fit in a movie), a Metroid film, or even a Zelda film (please keep Link a mute).

One adaptation I never even considered because there’s no story behind it is happening though. Dance Dance Revolution is reportedly being adapted for the big screen. This adaptation will come from Cara Fano of Stampede after her recent promotion to Director of Development, Film & TV. Here’s the setting for this movie:

The project will explore a world on the brink of destruction where the only hope is to unite through the universal language of dance.

Konami, the company who owns DDR, will be working with Stampede to make the film. J. Todd Harris and Marc Marcum are joining the project as producers. Now that we have a premise, who should direct and who should star?
