Stan Lee Has Optimistic Hopes For X-MEN Film Rights Returning to Marvel

When Spider-Man was announced to return to the MCU, people were ecstatic. He is a prime character that made the Marvel Universe what it is. Now that he has been brought back to the fold, fans have had hopes that similarly, X-Men and Fantastic Four may return someday too. And apparently, it's not just the fans.

Stan Lee has recently stated his hopes and thoughts of all of the characters existing together in the same universe again. Recently Lee made his thoughts on the subject public:

"Sooner or later, they're going to get the rights back to all our characters. They're working on it, and they're still making X-Men movies and stuff. Don't worry about it. You'll get more Marvel superheroes than you'll have time to look at in the next few years."

This makes me happy. I know it is still some time away, but the fact that Stan the man himself, who has worked happily alongside both Fox and Disney, has faith that it will happen, gives me faith.

The world the MCU has created is good and fine, but the X-Men and Fantastic Four are a big part of the Marvel Universe that make it special. The public's distrust and anxiety towards Mutants and the Fantastic Four's government/celebrity team are so unique. Inhumans has tried to fill the role of the mutants, but it's not the same. Inhumans are Royalty trying to fit in amongst humans, fish out of water style. They are an alien like team protecting a planet they wish to call home. Mutants are people who have lived here who do not work with or for the government.

I hope I live to see the day, and be able to report on the time the world is complete again. Until then, I'll just keep on reading the comics. They have it together... mostly.
