Stanley Tucci Stars in Trailer for AMC Adventure Series LA FORTUNA About a Mission to Unearth Undersea Treasure

AMC has released a new trailer for the limited adventure series La Fortuna, which follows several groups of people on a mission to recover sunken treasure at the bottom of the ocean. The series stars Stanley Tucci, Álvaro Mel, Ana Polvorosa, Clarke Peters, T’Nia Miller, Karra Elejalde, Manolo Solo, Blanca Portillo, and Pedro Casablanc. Alejandro Amenábar is set to direct the series, which he co-wrote with Alejandro Hernández, based on the comic by Guillermo Corral and Paco Roca.

Here’s the synopsis:

In La Fortuna, Álex Ventura (Álvaro Mel), a young and inexperienced diplomat, unintentionally becomes the leader of a mission that will put all his convictions to the test: to recover the sunken treasure stolen by Frank Wild (Stanley Tucci), an adventurer who travels the world plundering items of common heritage from the depths of the sea. Forming a unique team with Lucía (Ana Polvorosa), a combative public official, and Jonas Pierce (Clarke Peters), a brilliant American lawyer with a passion for old pirate tales, Álex sets out on the adventure of a lifetime, on which he learns about the importance of love, friendship and commitment to your own beliefs.

This looks like a really fun series! Everyone seems to like to see people discover buried treasure, and it looks like there will be a big battle for the ownership of it once it is acquired. Check out the trailer below, and keep an eye out for the premiere date of La Fortuna on AMC this Fall.
