Star Cars: GHOSTBUSTERS Ecto-1 Video

Athena finds not one, but two of the rarest Star Cars in the world, the Ecto-1 (aka Ectomobile). Based off a 1959 Cadillac Eldorado ambulance, Ecto-1 starred alongside Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd, Harold Ramis, and Ernie Hudson in the Ghostbusters franchise. The car made appearances in both feature films, The Real Ghostbusters animated series, comics, and video games.

The Ecto-1 from Ghostbusters is one of the most iconic cars in movie history. It was just a really cool looking car, and before Ghostbusters, I had never seen anything like it before.

Thanks to Crave Online we have a cool video that focuses on the car used in the film and offers up a lot of great information about it that you may or may not know. I didn't realize how rare this car actually was.

The video is part of a web series called Star Cars, and here's a description of the episode.

Athena talked with the replica owners about the highs and lows of owning such an old car, fired up the proton packs, and even got an inside look at original production drawings of alternate vehicles.
