STAR TREK 3 To Be Directed by Joe Cornish?
When J.J. Abrams decided to take on Star Wars: Episode VII, we knew that he probably wasn't going to helm Star Trek 3. Fans have been anxiously waiting to see who would take his place in the director's chair, and according to Deadline, it looks like the gig could go to Joe Cornish! For those of you not familiar with the name, he directed the badass sci-fi action film Attack The Block. If you haven't seen that movie yet, do yourself a favor and watch it now! Cornish also co-wrote Ant-Man with Edgar Wright.
I would love to see Cornish direct the next Star Trek! I think he is a solid replacement for Abrams and would do a great job! Who knows, maybe he'll even lose those lens flares that people constantly complain about! Nothing is set in stone yet, but it would be great if Cornish does land the job. What do you all think about the possibility of Cornish taking on Star Trek 3?!
