STAR TREK BEYOND Tied With FIRST CONTACT For Second-Most Critically Acclaimed STAR TREK Film

It would appear that the poor reception to early trailers did not affect critics' views of Star Trek Beyond. According to Rotten Tomatoes, the film currently is tied with Star Trek: First Contact in terms of critical reviews with a 93% "Fresh" rating. As high as it is, that's still two percentage points off the rebooted 2009 version, which sits at a 95% approval:
