STAR TREK Day Announcements Include LEGO Collaboration and a YouTube Kids’ Series

The year’s Star Trek Day came with some big news as we gear up for the 60th anniversary in 2026. Paramount dropped a batch of announcements today, including the first-ever LEGO collaboration and a brand-new YouTube series made just for kids.

The Lego project has Star Trek fans excited, but no details have been shared yet. A press release teased that more information is coming “soon” along with a short video to get people hyped. Considering the massive Star Wars Lego line, the possibilities for Star Trek sets feel limitless.

Paramount aldo revealed Star Trek: Scouts, an animated YouTube series designed for preschoolers. According to the official release:

“Developed and produced by Nickelodeon Digital Studio in association with CBS Studios, Star Trek: Scouts follows three 8-year-old friends, JR, Sprocket, and Roo, as they train to become future Starfleet Explorers by going on epic, out-of-this-world missions that push them to ‘discover, grow, and boldly go!”

The first two episodes, each running three to four minutes, are already available on Nickelodeon’s Blaze and the Monster Machines YouTube channel. The remaining 18 episodes will roll out next year.

Star Trek will also be featured in the upcoming Rose Parade on New Year’s Day in Pasadena, giving fans across the globe a look at a 60th anniversary float and helping promote the new live-action series Starfleet Academy.

That show is still aiming for an “early 2026” premiere, while Strange New Worlds wraps its third season on September 11. Seasons four and five are already in the pipeline.

Today also marks the launch of Star Trek: Khan, a scripted podcast that dives into the backstory leading up to Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan. Naveen Andrews voices Khan, joined by Star Trek: Voyager’s Tim Russ as Ensign Tuvok and the legendary George Takei as Captain Sulu.

New episodes drop every Monday through November 3 across podcast platforms and the Star Trek YouTube channel.

Fans can also look forward to Trek’s new partnership with Webtoon, which will introduce digital comics featuring original stories. Paramount says this initiative is designed to connect “with new audiences by launching original stories that touch on universal genres and themes based in the world of Star Trek.”

To make sure no one misses out on the 60th anniversary fun, Paramount has launched a special online hub to track all these announcements. With this being only the first wave of reveals, we’ll be keeping our fingers crossed for some movie news soon.
